Magellan

Antonio Pigafetta was the assistant to Magellan on his sailing trip around the world.

When he returned from the trip, he was asked what was Magellan’s greatest and most admirable skill.

As Pigafetta reflected, most would assume that it would be Magellan’s sailing ability.

Pigafetta never mentioned it. Instead, he said that Magellan’s secret to success was his ability to endure hunger better than the other men.

This story reminds us that accomplishing great things usually requires great sacrifice.

What you become largely depends on what you’re willing to endure.

What is one area that you can push yourself more that would move the needle towards your ultimate goal?
